African wild dogs belong to canidae family which also includes dogs, coyotes, dingos, jackals and wolves. They are native only to Africa. They are wild animals and endangered species.
African wild dogs are one of the most brutal animals in the wild. They are hardly seen killing their preys first before eating them. They eat their preys alive. They usually tear open the abdomens of their preys alive and eat the intestines and other contents therein alive, subjecting their preys to excruciating pains. The preys to these brutal African wild dogs include impalas, buffaloes, antelopes, etc.
The preys e.g impalas, buffaloes; antelopes go through extreme pains in the hands of African wild dogs. I’m not saying African wild dogs and other brutal animals like hyenas should not eat other animals. Of course, they have to eat to survive because they are endangered species themselves. What I’m concerned about is the way they eat other animals alive.
Can we, as human beings, do something about this to mitigate the pains of the preys? Is it possible to isolate African wild dogs and other brutal animals like hyenas from others and provide meals for them?
