Murmansk is a city in north-west of Russia with about 300,000 people. In every winter, sun doesn’t rise for 40 days, from December 2 to January 10 (40 days). People there must live without daylight for the entire 40 days. Also, there is continuous daylight for 63 days from May 22 to July 23. No night at all for the entire 63 days also.
There are few other cities in the world that experience similar phenomenon. They include a few cities in Canada, Alaska, Russia, etc.
